A very healthy and tasty alternative to milk
Ingredients: Distilled Water Sesame Seeds 1 c Almonds (soak in distilled or purified water over night) Dates or (Honey or Maple Syrup) Opt
Directions: Add sesame seeds to a small coffee nut grinder and grind seeds to fine powder. Add seeds to blender and fill blender 3/4 full with distilled or purified water and blend until seeds and water are mixed. Water will now look like milk. Strain liquid through fine sieve or fine colander and pour in pitcher and set aside. Take soaked almonds and put in blender. Fill blender 1/3 full of distilled or purified water and blend. After blending add more water until blender is filled close to the top. Allow room for water to be blended. Turn on high and blend. Pour liquid milk through a fine sieve or colander. Pour strained milk in pitcher with sesame liquid. You now have Sesame Almond Milk. You may sweeten milk with dates (aprox 5) or you may use honey or maple syrup to taste. If using dates pit the dates and pour some of the milk mixture back into the blender along with the dates (aprox 5) depending on sweetness desired and blend until pulverized. Pour liquid back into the pitcher with the sesame almond milk. Sesame seeds are rich in calcium.
